THIS IS BUCKSHOT SPEEDWAY'S OFFICIAL BUZZ 4/6 CYL CLASS RULESET. YOUR CAR MUST LEGALY MEET THESE STANDARDS AND DEMINSIONS IN ORDER TO PASS TECH INSPECTIONS. IF YOUR CAR IS NOT WITHIN OUR ASSIGNED RULESET STANDARDS, YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED, NO MATTER YOUR FINISHING RACE POSITION.
IF SOMETHING IS NOT MENTIONED IN THIS RULESET, WE DO NOT ALLOW IT!

All cars are subject to inspection by Buckshot Speedway at any time during the event.

Buckshot Speedway reserves the right to confiscate suspicious, or deemed illegal components.

Buckshot Speedway reserves the right to alter or amend these rules at any time in the interest of fair competition.​
CLASS RULES
-
This is a STOCK class! Unless stated, everything must stay stock!
-
Low profile cars such as Camaro, Firebirds, Mustangs, etc are NOT allowed.
-
Front Wheel Drive (FWD) cars ONLY! No all-wheel drive cars or all wheel steer cars.
ENGINE
-
Must be a stock 4 Cylinder Engine.
-
Motor must match brand of car. (ex. Honda must have Honda engine).
-
Stock ignition only. No tuned ECM.
-
ECM CAN BE CLAIMED FOR $350!
-
Alternator must be working and in original position.
-
Exhaust must run past the drivers seat.
-
No turbo, Supercharged or rotary engines allowed.

TRANSMISSION
-
Transmission must be stock. Auto or Manual allowed.
-
No locking of differential of any type of transmission!
​
CARBURETOR/INTAKE
-
No Holley, Weber or other racing carburetors allowed.
-
Carbureted cars must be stock for engine.
-
Cold air intakes OK. Can run cone filter with rigged plastic hose.

FUEL CELL
-
Fuel cells are allowed, but must be in a 20 gauge metal box and secured by a minimum of 1" inch straps.
​
BATTERY
-
Battery must be securely mounted.
-
If mounted inside vehicle, it needs to be in a marine box or it's own fully enclosed compartment and bolted with minimum 3/8" diameter bolts and 1/16" thick angle iron.

Small batteries are allowed and can use 1/4 diameter bolts.
-
Under hood factory battery mounts ok, but still need to be fully secured and have plastic or rubber covering the top of battery.

WEIGHT
-
All cars must weigh 2,200 pounds with car and driver after the race. Exceptions: Any car with 140hp, 140 tq or less, at flywheel will get a 300 lbs wieght break.

This will strictly be at tracks discretion and mandatory the track approves weight break before car goes on the track.

Must have reputable source for proof of power rating.
-
Car and driver will still have to meet all safety standards.
BODY​​​
-
Must be stock appearing body and the stock frame.
-
2 or 4 door cars are allowed.
-
Doors must be welded or chained shut.
-
Driver and front passenger door window openings along with rear and front window openings must remain open and uncovered.
-
Rear door and/or small rear side windows can be closed or covered.
-
Front and rear tow hooks. (Chain, Strap, cable, etc.)
-
Bumpers must be covered in some way with no exposed sharp corners. Coverage is at officials' discretion.
-
Any nose piece used must be conformed to fit at reasonable and near-factory dimensions.
-
No push bars to extend outside of bumpers or beyond nose piece.
-
Tube bumpers under covers close to factory dimensions are ok, ends have to curve towards your car, no open pipe ends.
-
Exhaust pipes must not extend out of any body surface more than 1” and pipe must be blunt and free of sharp edges.

Some sheet metal will be allowed for repairs. At least 1/3 of the body must be stock. (No late model bodies.)

ROLL CAGE
-
Must have a fully welded, quality built MINIMUM 4-point roll cage inside the car with minimum of 0.95" thick tubing. No less than 1&1/2" inches.

No pipe fittings, aluminum, or any other soft materials allowed.
-
4 - point cage cars must not remove any internal structure of the car. BUCKSHOT SPEEDWAY has final say in safety of the cage.

Minimum 3 driver door bars / 2 side door bars, 1 petty bar.
-
Driver side door must be hulled out for Roll Cage safety.
-
6 or more-point cages okay.
-
Roll cage may extend forward behind bumpers.

WHEELS/TIRES
-
Minimum wheel base is 96" inches.
-
Factory wheels are allowed, but must use factory lug nuts.
-
Aftermarket racing wheels allowed. 7 inch maximum. Must run 1" lug nuts with race wheels.
-
Tires can be mixed and matched for stagger.
-
DOT tires only max 235/70/16.
-
NO race tires allowed!

SUSPENSION
-
Must have stock rear and front suspension.
-
Slotting of factory mounting holes allowed. Plating for safety is allowed.
-
No racing springs (lowering) or shocks allowed.
-
Springs may be heated, clamped or use spring rubbers.
-
No aftermarket adjustable or aluminum shock body.
-
Aftermarket bushings ok if they fit in factory type arms.

BRAKES
-
Brakes must remain STOCK for the make and model.
-
No brake adjusters allowed.
​
SAFETY
-
ALL glass must be removed! Lexan can be used if desired.
-
Remove ALL flammable materials such as seats and all plastic materials.
-
Race seats are MANDATORY!
-
5 point harness must be attached to the roll cage.
-
Fire extinguisher with in arms reach of the driver.
-
Full fire suit (including gloves) and Snell rated helmets are MANDATORY!
-
Head and neck restraint system strongly recommended.

PRE-RACE INSPECTIONS
-
Buckshot Speedway has final ruling on all questions of legality. A pre-race inspection will be made to ensure SAFETY. Please do your safety homework before you come to the track. Buckshot Speedway officials do not want to park you for safety related issues but cars deemed unsafe by officials will not be allowed on the track until proper repairs are made.

Questions of legality can and will be answered during the pre-race inspection if asked by entrant. You are also welcome to contact track prior to race. No guarantee of legality shall be expressed or implied during pre-race inspection or prior. Legality will be determined in POST-race inspection.

Competitors must present cars for inspection prior to participating in any racing event.

No two-way radios of any kind allowed .
